Cost Efficient Defect Detection in Bangle Industry Using Transfer Learning

Bangle industry in India has been notoriously at the epicenter of child-labour. Even though the government has passed several laws in the last few decades to end child-labour, this problem is barely at bay, and thousands of young children still work in dingy bangle making factories and hazardous units where they are exposed to toxic fumes over long periods of time only to shape bangles, sort them and identify defects. In this study, we dived deeper into this problem to identify at which stages deep learning and artificial intelligence can be used, present a dataset and perform an evaluation
